This is what I got upto this weekend. I made my first batch of macaroons ever, they tasted good. Never having made macaroons before, this was a fun bumbling experience. Will make some more next weekend, hopefully the next batch will grow some cute macaroon feet. Watch out Pierre Herme lol!

Oh Hi!
I’m just discovering your blog and I just had to react! I’m a belgian/married to a Frenchman expat for the last 12 years in Nairobi and I love to cook, AND i am neurotic when it comes to baking the perfect macaron! Last ones I “managed “were “macaron au caramel au beurre salé”, there were delicious but looked like … litlle heaps of misery!
Anyhow I’m very happy to discover your blog and shall be following it…
